1010 calls his new, abstract works "Holes", "Abyss" or "Portals" in order to leave the viewer the necessary scope for interpretation. Depicted as huge works on house facades or as silhouettes, these graphically and aesthetically appealing works unfold a socio-critical and profound effect.

1010 (born in 1979 in Kętrzyn, Poland) invites the viewers of his artworks to dive into a world of graphic illusions and seductive colors. A world he creates not only for the gallery, but his works can also be found in the streets around the globe. In the style of Op-Art, 1010 creates images that manipulate the viewer's vision and make illusions of three-dimensional gaps or colorful portals appear. Although 1010 has been designing mainly walls with his art for ten years, he also realizes projects on a smaller scale. In doing so, 1010 works with different materials and techniques - his works are created from silhouettes, painting with acrylic paint on aluminum dibond or canvas, but also installations and large-scale projections.

The artist finds inspiration again and again in computer games, animated films, comics and fantasy novels. After experimenting with various graphic concepts, he became interested in op-art and in 2010 launched his world-famous, iconic "holes" on large facades around the world. In doing so, 1010 takes the art-historical concept of the illusion of holes and portals in his works, using a delicate arrangement of colors and shadows to create unique shapes that convey their peculiar aesthetics and strong effects of graphic illusion - the perfect optical illusion for an urban world.

1010's art has been shown in various solo and group exhibitions as well as international urban art festivals. His murals can be found in Panama, Delhi, Las Vegas, San Diego, Dubai, Montreal, Shenzen, Warsaw, Paris, Heidelberg, Hamburg and many other cities around the world. The most recent mural project was realized in the Swiss mountains.
