Beautiful boy, you were a mix of honey, mint and pink: Fabiola Gonzáles

The series, created in the last three years, is the subject of personal research on festive rites. Fabiola Gonzáles' (b. 1995, Peru) works analyze the theme of family celebrations, which often hide secrets and control. In Latin America, the family plays an important role in identity, and every celebration becomes a ritual.

Through her works, Gonzáles is able to give a new form to these memories, combining the past with intense colors and chaos. Different moments of family events emphasize the importance of affectivity and encounters between people. Her work is based on archives, memories, photographs, written sources and other media that highlight the connection between individuals.

The gallery can be reached on foot from the main train station (Sihlquai exit) within 5 minutes. The nearest public transport stop is "Limmatplatz". There are some public parking spaces along Sihlquai.
