Maja Hürst has been developing the visual universe “TIKA” for over 20 years. After years of researching the forms of animals, the artist has turned to the dissection of landscapes for SILVATIKA. The solo show consists of an out- door mural, a room with an installation and this summer’s plein air paper works as well as a canvas, the second room is a discourse on the networks between forest animals.
Having painted murals on 4 continents with residencies and exhibitions in Bangkok, Mumbai, Cape Town, Vienna, Atlanta, Rio de Janeiro & more, Maja Hürst now lives in Zurich and Berlin with a studio in the forest of Skulpturen- park Steinmaur.
SILVATIKA is the inaugural exhibition at the new location of Galerie SOON in Zurich.
